PROGRAM UPDATE

Preview of the Oscar Nominated Documentary
DELIVER US FROM EVIL + Q&A
(This) Monday, May 14th, - 7:30pm - GU Bondi Junction
Popcorn Taxi presents a special screening of one of the most powerful and important documentaries of the decade. Nominated for an 2007 Academy Award, DELIVER US FROM EVIL uncovers the story of Father Oliver O’Grady, the most notorious paedophile in the history of the modern Catholic Church, who over the course of twenty years, used his charm and authority to abuse dozens of children across Northern California.

Using his chilling testimony as a launching point, Filmmaker AMY BERG exposes the high-level corruption within the Church while attempting to understand why child abuse within this institution, still occurs today on a global scale. Most importantly, Berg encourages several of O’Grady’s victims to finally speak out, shedding much-needed light on the horrifying legacy of sexual abuse, capturing startlingly candid confessions that will break your heart. Following the screening AMY BERG joins us via phone to discuss her incredible journey making this film. You can read more about this program HERE .
