After Effects Compositing

This course provides a detailed introduction to desktop compositing for moving images using Adobe After Effects 6.5 Production Bundle a program that allows a new level of creative freedom for designers, animators, art directors or editors.
Participants will gain an understanding of the desktop digital compositing environment including complimentary tools, applications and professional production concerns.
Other topics include; workflow from other applications, effects controls, dynamic masking, blue screen keying and an introduction to rotoscoping using Photoshop and Vector Paint. On satisfactorily completing this course, students will receive an AFTRS Course Certificate.
The course director is Cathy Vogan who has been a video artist since 1984,
lecturer in Electronic Art and compositing at University of Paris 3, ESI
France and KHS Cologne, and is also a freelance director, online editor and
compositor.

Please note: Entry is competitive. You will be contacted regarding your application soon after the closing date. Once you have been accepted, your place in the course will not be secured until the course fee has been received.
Enrolment Details and Conditions:
As far as possible participants are matched in terms of experience and levels of competence. In case of cancellations by participants less than one week prior to the commencement, 20% of the course fee will be retained by AFTRS to cover administration expenses. No refund will be given after the commencement date of the course. The School reserves the right to cancel any course in which case fees received will be refunded.
