[DLF] JOB : Pipeline Engineer : Rising Sun Pictures : Adelaide
PIPELINE ENGINEER:
Rising Sun Pictures (RSP), a specialist film visual effects house, is looking for a pipeline engineer to join their Adelaide team.
Alongside commercial tools like Maya, XSI, Houdini and Shake, RSP relies on a customised framework of linux tools that manages the work flow our artists use every day. You will be responsible for developing, and supporting, that framework.
The work includes: * GUIs in Python for convenience tools & wrappers * Plugins in C++ for major packages and speed rewrites of frequently used modules, and * Ad hoc development of everything related to getting an image out the door
In this role you will work alongside vfx artists, under the guidance of a pipeline lead. This is an opportunity to showcase your problem solving skills in a team-driven environment that is focused on creating the amazing images that end up in your nearest cinema.
This role would suit a rapidly developing technical mind from the film or gaming industries, but could also be a transition point into the film industry for an experienced user centric developer looking to make a change.
RSP has collaborated with the industry’s top film makers on award winning films such as “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”, and “The Last Samurai” as well as the blockbuster hits “Charlotte’s Web”, “Blood Diamond”, “Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire” and “Superman Returns”.
